Youth soccer signups open

Richmond’s spring soccer season starts soon, and registration is now open for city residents. Last year over 2,000 local children took part in Richmond City soccer.

To sign up, you must stop by the Humphrey Calder Community Center on Thompson and bring your child’s birth certificate. It’s $25 to register, plus $20 for uniforms. Richmond Parks and Recreation have made it a mission that all children can play, regardless of ability to pay.

Volunteer coaches are also needed. The schedule can be found after the break.

All practices will be at Humphrey Calder fields this season

U6 games/practices will be Tuesdays or Thursdays evenings between 5:30 and 6:30 PM

U8 will practice once a week: Tuesdays or Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 PM. U8 games will be played on Saturday mornings between 9:45 PM and 1 PM

U10 and U12 teams will practice Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 PM

U15 teams will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 PM

U10 and U12 Coed games will be played on Saturdays between 9:45 AM and 1 PM

Girls U10, U12 and U15 Coed games will be played on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings
