Yikes! Postage rates going up May 14th
This weekend marks the last chance to mail a letter for the bargain rate of $0.39. Starting on Monday, May 14th, standard first class letters (1oz) will require an extra $0.02 in postage, bringing the price to $0.41. But the big news is that the pricing structure of the USPS is changing, and you will now be able to buy a stamp that is good no matter how much postal rates increase. This stamp has been dubbed the “Forever” stamp, and it makes great sense and will yield higher revenues and lower costs for the Post Office, which will help keep prices low in the future.
I’m going to use this opportunity to stock up on the Jamestown commemorative stamp. Why is it a triangle you ask? Colonist George Percy wrote, “we had built and finished our Fort which was triangle wise.”

Couldn’t they have done a right triangle that would fit in the corner of an envelope? Who do I write that letter to?
I got a letter with a Reagan stamp on it and it freaked me out!! He looks kind of creepy if you think about it.
