Welcome to WotBN.net

West of the Boulevard News is our community’s forum. A place to find out what is going on, to be heard on our issues and to express our thoughts on what’s good and bad. Want to promote your event? Let us know, we’d love to pass it on. Know of something going on in our community? Shoot us an email. We are here to promote the exchange of ideas, events, and information. Come and join us as we grow as a community!

It has been a little more than a year since our family moved into the Museum District. When we first announced the move, most of our friends gave us confused looks.

“Why would you move to the city?”

“Aren’t you worried about the schools?”

“It’s not safe to live in the city…”

Of course we were concerned about the schools, but after doing some research, we found out that the elementary schools in our area are among the finest. And it didn’t take long to fall in love our neighborhood.

A year later, we love it even more.

There’s nothing quite like walking to Carytown to watch movie at the Byrd, grab a burger at Carytown burgers, and do some shopping at one of the many fine stores. We love Saturdays at World of Mirth, finding the greatest music at Plan 9, and meeting up with friends at Nacho Mama’s. There is much more to discover in our little area, and many more friends to make.

We love our neighborhood, and want everybody to know it. We want to make it a better place to live, a place where neighbors come together to make it a great place to live. We want openness and communication with our community leaders. We want the events held here to be some of the best of what Richmond has to offer. Most importantly, we want our neighborhoods to be a safe and positive place for our kids and families.
