Weekend options abound
This weekend is jam-packed full of interesting events in Carytown. Third Thursdays, Patsy Cline @ the Byrd, Richmond Kickers, and the Carytown 10K are all slated this weekend. I hope you weren’t planning on heading out of town, because there’s plenty of things to do W. o’ the Blvd.
- Third Thursdays - Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Thursday @ 6pm. This month’s theme is Texas Chic, complete with Texas BBQ and Coronas w/ lime (wait, isn’t that Mexican?). Tickets are a 10-spot.
- A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline - Byrd Theatre, Friday-Sunday. This weekend the Byrd is hosting a benefit that sounds truly terrific. The event will feature live musicians on stage and a fully staged theatrical production. Tickets are a bit pricy, but go to a good cause - The Byrd Theatre Foundation, which will use the money to continue restoring the theatre.
- Richmond Kickers v. Charlotte Eagles - U of R Stadium, Saturday @ 7pm. Did you know that the Richmond Kickers are 4-0 so far this season and packed with talent? Check them out! Tickets are $10 (Children $5).
- Carytown 10K Run/Walk - Carytown, Sunday @ 8am. Should be a treat as 1,500 racers trek through Carytown on a flat, fast course.
