Volunteers needed to help mulch in Byrd Park

Posted on | March 24, 2008 | 2 Comments

Friends of William Byrd Park (FOWBP) will be coordinating a “Prune & Groom” event to mulch the young trees around the VitaCourse and possibly the Roundhouse also. Volunteers need only bring gloves (loppers and/or clippers if you have them). Richmond Dept. of Parks and Recreation will be providing the mulch and tools.

Volunteers for this event, please contact Judy Howlett at 358-1797 or by email at friendsofwmbyrdpark@gmail.com for more information and to ensure we have enough tools and wheelbarrows for everyone.

Oops:

Thought event is not until the 29th, the group is attempting to get an idea of the number of volunteers by Tuesday, March 25 so that the City can organize the appropriate amount of mulch and tools.
