Alex Nyerges’ (Director) latest tour with Don Dale (Writer) provides news and pictures of the latest work at the VMFA expansion:

The Robins Sculpture Garden will replace 3.5 acres of former parking lot.

A new atrium will be a 3-story “main street” connecting to two existing wings and opening onto a new library, museum shop, cafĂ©, and galleries.

A 40-foot-high glass wall overlooking the Boulevard will signal VMFA’s purpose from the outside by showcasing works of art and revealing public activity within.

The Grand Opening of the expanded and transformed VMFA will be May 1, 2010.

Seems like this is taking forever, but it will be spectacular when it is finished.
