Update on Monument Ave “Illegal Parking Lot”

I emailed city council about the un-permitted parking lot on the corner of Monument and Colonial, and received a response. First District Representative Bruce Tyler emailed me…

This matter has been turned over to the Community Development Department for review and action. My understanding that this property is in the historic district and this improvement required approval by the CAR.

I’ll keep you updated on the progress. If you haven’t emailed or called your representative, I encourage you to do so. Let’s put some pressure on this deadbeat.

  1. Easy. Just tear the damn thing up and roll some grass on top of the dirt. Better yet. Make him pay a hefty fine, pay for the tear down, pay for the new grass and some trees, and then we might call things even for the injury.

Why should the city allow these sneaky end runners to get away with a sly move like this? Oh. Lawyers.
