Rocky
Rocky II
Rocky III
Rocky IV
Rocky V
In no particular order (and possibly not completely accurate):
Die Hard
Joe vs. the Volcano OR The Money Pit
Jaws
Casablanca
Heathers
Princess Bride
Amar Akbar Anthony
The Little Mermaid
Gone with the Wind
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
But in my top ten would be:
Singles
The Natural
Jesus Christ Superstar
Scotland PA
and maybe The Sting? Disney’s Robin Hood?
These are just 5 movies I could watch over and over. And for some reason the 1st one is on every weekend on TNT.
The Shawshank Redemption
The Gladiator
Star Wars Trilogy
Jerry McGuire
Back to the Future
To Kill a Mockingbird
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Jaws
The Money Pit
Silence of the Lambs
Searching for Bobby Fischer
Grosse Point Blank
Die Hard
Donnie Darko
Signs
With many a close sixth (Unforgiven, Bladerunner, Run Lola Run, et al).
Movies I intend to overwatch as long as I am able because they are captivating:
1. Brazil, Gilliam 1985
2. Mom and Dad Save the World, Beeman 1992
3. Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Gilliam 1988
4. Count of Monte Cristo, Reynolds 2002
5. The Fifth Element, Besson, 1992
5.5 Sense and Sensibility, Lee 1995
Millions
Wide Awake
Bridge to Tarabithia
Fight Club
The South Park Movie
The first three are just awesome… if you haven’t seen them, you really should, the last two are based solely on the fact that I can watch them over and over again and not get tired of them.
I enjoyed Millions.
Random feel good movie to reinvigorate your get up and go…Danny Deckchair…directed by Balsmeyer, Australia 2003. Leaves you warm, fuzzy and forgiven your foibles.
Well here are five great movies that although not my top five of all time, are five that are brilliant and unforgettable, and that many would not take the time to see without a recommendation — I heartedly recommend them:
The Bicycle Thief
Wild Strawberries
Half Nelson
The Science of Sleep
The Pianist
Ross, this was an excellent exercise in forcing other people to reinvigorate my Netflix queue. Thank you.
Spirited Away
Watership Down
Popeye (with Robin Williams)
Meet the Feebles
Jan Svankmajers’ Faust
Toy Story 2
- Miller’s Crossing
- Army Of Darkness
- Royal Tenenbaums
- 2001
- Seven Samurai
Army of Darkness! I almost forgot!
300
Zoolander
Imitation of Life
I am Sam
Blade II
