  1. Interesting. When I stood in the same spot with a protest sign, the Richmond Police Department said they would arrest me.

  3. I really find it interesting the tension that surrounds this weekend.

    How do we celebrate the Virginia’s history that is so often associated with something so awful?

    I am not naive enough to say that the Civil War was all about slavery. But I am also not naive enough to say that it didn’t have its role. I think it will always be challenging to do so until true racial reconciliation is realized.
