The 2008 VCU French Film Festival hits the Byrd Theater this weekend

It’s that time of year again. The 16th annual VCU French Film Festival takes place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at The Byrd Theatre. For those of you that don’t speak French, all films will have English subtitles.

If you want to attend, you can buy a ticket to each individual showing, or get a $95 all-inclusive VIP pass. See the schedule here.

  1. So, I don’t really know any french films. What are people’s favorites in case we get the urge?

  2. These are usually new films and for some it’ll be the American premiere, with the director or a few stars in tow. Often the french ambassador shows up. Just read the program and pick whatever suits you and then wait in a long line. It’s kind of a big deal!
