Take part in planning the future of the Library
Posted on | December 4, 2008 | 8 Comments
The public is invited to a meeting at Belmont Library on December 10th at 6:00 p.m. about the library renovation project for the City of the Future work to be done at the library.
The library consultants and architectural/engineering firm are currently assessing the state of the library and are holding a public meeting at Belmont Library to hear from the public about what they want their renovated library to look like and the services they want offered.

Nice! Hopefully the city’s libraries can one day be what they should be.

This is a great opportunity to provide feedback for our little library WOTB, hope lots of folks can make it.

Thank God there is “City of the Future” money to get this very necessary work done.
We’re so lucky to have a library in our very own neighborhood.
Hopefully with this funding, compliments of Mayor Wilder, we can begin to move ourselves into the future.

Not that i disagree that we are lucky to have Belmont library and their fine staff or the opportunity to participate in planning its improvements, we are and I hope the place is packed and is able to produce some good result for the effort
…but, LP, are you for real? every post, blah blah WILDER blah blah, savior of the known universe, blah blah blah, i do not remember that wilder cut the check single handedly for CotF money, perhaps I missed something

Try to get a grip, Fiona … you are indeed missing something … A lot of people still like what Wilder has done in terms of moving this city in the right direction …

It is not for want of a grip that I am observing what appears to be excessive flag waving. I simple do not ascribe as much credit for the CotF project to the Wilder administration as I perceived your post to imply.

Seriously, LP, Wilder is not 100% responsible for anything that happens in this city.
The fact that you try to attribute 100% of good things and 0% of bad things to Wilder just makes you look like a Spin Doctor, and you lose all credibility. No one is falling for it.

any thoughts on how the Belmont City of the Future planning session went? Hopefuly expanded computer center is on the list along with larger community room and more space for children’s stuff that’s currently crammed in back room behind divider…a nice large multipurpose room with cubbies along one wall for the “stuff” might be nice
