There will be plenty of opportunities. At least the way they structured the admission this year at least is better. Before you had to buy a more expensive ticket that included the rides even if you didn't ride them. And, I don't know if it'll work for older kids, but we always pack a picnic and then buy one sensible treat like a frozen banana dipped in chocolate and nuts. Interesting how the Fair is a non-profit entity (according to their own marketing material) but I simply can't afford to take my family at $13 a head just to get in the door. We'd be looking at easily over $100 taking all the food, rides, etc. into consideration. Too bad it’s so damn expensive.
