Skybus to shuttle from Richmond to St. Augustine

Skybus added service from Richmond to St. Augustine, Florida, starting June 1st. The $10 per ticket airline currently has 2 daily flights to Columbus, Ohio.

Plenty of $10 tickets are available for both Columbus and St. Augustine through the summer. However, getting travel insurance is recommended; if your flight is cancelled, Skybus will not re-book you on a different airline. You’re on your own to find a way home, and could pay exorbitant prices for a same-day ticket.

St. Augustine airport can barely be considered an airport. Skybus is the only major carrier that flies there. Their baggage claim is a tent where employees literally hand you the bag.

That being said, you can’t beat a $10 ticket to get to Florida. Even with with taxes, insurance, baggage check fees, and transportation from St. Augustine to Orlando or Jacksonville, it easily beats driving or taking another airline.
