Skybus GROUNDED
No more $10 flights out of Richmond. Skybus has ceased all operations, including cancelling all daily flights to Columbus from Richmond. Skybus had also scheduled to add a flight from Richmond to St. Augustine, Florida next month.

Skybus struggled to overcome the combination of rising jet fuel costs and a slowing economic environment. These two issues proved to be insurmountable for a new carrier… Passengers holding reservations for Skybus flights scheduled to depart on or after Saturday, April 5, 2008 should contact their credit card companies to arrange to apply for a refund.
Richmond airport may not see a 33rd consecutive month of passenger growth. Skybus represented somewhere around 2% of daily Richmond passengers.
There goes my tickets to get to my brother’s graduation. The refund of my $10 fare just doesn’t make up for it.
Saw the big “Canceled” sign at the empty Skybus gate at RIC today.
Maybe Delta will move closer to security now, I am tired of walking to B12.
