Shakespeare to appear @ Agecroft Hall

The bard lives on through the Richmond Shakespeare Festival, going on all summer at Agecroft Hall just south of CaryTown. Performances of The Tempest will be performed Thursday-Sunday through July 8th. Then the focus shifts to a great historical play, as the troupe takes on Henry IV part 1 through August 5th.

Agecroft Hall is a sight to see itself, as it is an original building constructed in the 15th century in England, only to be shipped across the Atlantic Ocean in 1925 and reconstructed in Richmond, VA. The house and gardens are a must-see.

See the website for showtimes and ticket prices.

  1. Ironically, Style Weekly reviewed the play today. They called it “merry” and “manic.” That sounds like “The Tempest” to me. You can read the review here… http://styleweekly.com/article.asp?idarticle=14636
