“Several hundred (porn) hits” found on city computers

Richmond Police chief Monroe announced that the porn investigation on city computers had reached a conclusion, revealing hundreds of hits to pornographic websites had been found. None appeared to be accessing child pornography. That wraps up the police department’s investigation, and the results will be forwarded to the city for administrative action.

In the private sector, porn on the job = firing. So does giving out your login and password to others, as Bill Pantele claims he did.

The city should act swiftly to punish those checking out porn on the job. Over 100 city employee’s logins were used to access porn from 10 agencies, including:

  • Department of Public Works
  • State Attorney’s Office
  • Finance Department
  • Richmond City Attorney’s Office
  • Auditor’s Office
  • Police Department
