Scott’s Addition’s “Greener Oil” stockpiling biofuels

Posted on | September 10, 2008 | 2 Comments

Style Weekly’s front cover has the story of “Greener Oil,” a company looking to turn local restaurant’s used grease into fuel. The Scott’s Addition company ships the grease to Maryland, where it will be converted into fuel.

Restaurants are now seeing some leverage – before they were paying for grease removal. Now, companies like Greener Oil are actually paying for the right to remove their used grease.

Many WOTB businesses participate in the grease-to-fuel process. Ukrops runs a fleet of biofuel trucks, and Mary Angela’s donates its oil to biofuel fanatics.
