Saturday Bazaar Features Local Artists

AlterNatives is hosting an outdoor bazaar this Saturday, June 16th starting at 11am.  The market features items from local artists, and will be held outside the store at 3320 W. Cary St.

Kim @ AlterNatives provided me with the following details…

Every Saturday this summer from 11am to 5pm AlterNatives, your local non profit fair trade store, is hosting a weekly artist market in our backyard. Find everything handmade from ceramic tablewear to 2 inch paintings, reconfigured clothing, jewelry and garden decor to children’s clothing. AlterNatives supports the Highland Support Project which creates opportunities for community development and women’s empowerment in the Western Highlands of Guatemala. All proceeds go to support our local artists and also help fund the Maya Arts Program, which provides an art education to children in the Highlands.

We will have more to come on the Bazaar, which started about a month ago.  If you’ve been to it in the past or are going this weekend, let us know what you think.  info@wotbn.net
