Sat. October 18 - Fall Alley Clean-Up

The Fall Alley Clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, October 18 (rain or shine). Volunteers are asked to meet at the Benedictine High School cafeteria starting at 7:30 a.m.  Coffee and donuts will be provided. Enter at N. Belmont and Hanover Avenues.

Last Spring, we were able to remove over 15 tons of trash from our alleys!  Any amount of time that you can devote to this important clean-up project will be appreciated.

Due to limitations on City resources available to assist with our Fall Alley Clean-up, we are encouraging residents, if at all possible, to schedule a Bulk Item Collection the week of October 12 (see item below). Your assistance with this will help ensure the alleyways of the Museum District remain clean and unobstructed!

  1. Bulk Item Collection Weeks occur monthly throughout the city by zip code, so check the city’s website for the schedule and keep the alleys clean and safe!

    NEXT WOTB Bulk Collection Week-
    October 12

Bulk item collection week starts on October 13 for the Museum District. Bulk item collection is provided by the city for items that are simply too large to fit in a Supercan or if the item cannot be physically collected using standard equipment. These typically include furniture and large amounts of yard waste.

Place the items beside your Supercan out of the roadway and schedule a pick up by calling 3-1-1 or by going online to http://www.richmondgov.com and submitting an OnlineCitizen’s Request prior to Monday, October 13. Additionally, you can also schedule to have appliances picked up for a $50.00 fee.
