Reporting a pothole – let’s see if this works

Have you driven on the on-ramp from N. Thompson Street to I-195 North between Park and Franklin recently? There’s a large pothole that’s getting bigger by the day on the seam where the road turns to highway. And, it’s conveniently located along my morning commute. I’ve never reported a pothole before, but this one is definitely worthy.
After doing some research, I realized why the pothole has been around so long. Turns out that VDOT takes care of all highway repairs, and the city takes care of everything else. This one’s right on the border, so it’s likely that no one has taken responsibility.
So… I reported the pothole to both bodies. For future reference, you can do the same if you see a pothole West of the Boulevard. VDOT pothole reporting site. Richmond City pothole reporting site (requires registration).
I’ll be sure to give an update when/if the pothole is repaired.

Sam, I’m a reporter at Ch. 12. Has the pothole been repaired yet? Would you be interested in possibly doing a story on it?
Thanks,
Tara
