Reading and drinking at New York Deli this Thursday

Tall tales and tall ales, from Chop Suey Books:

Thursday, November 29th, 7 pm, @ The New York Deli: Harry’s History Happening. Join us across the street from Chop Suey Tuey for a great reading by Harry Kollatz, editor of Richmond Magazine and author of our newest  bestseller, True Richmond Stories. This book is filled with odd and forgotten  tales of Richmond’s illustrious past, and Harry brings them to life so well in his  live readings. Plus, a perfect soundtrack will be provided by the Happy Lucky Combo, and spirits will be available at the bar. It is not unlikelythat this event will  be chronicled in 23rd Century book on Richmond’s history, so it is not one to be missed!

  2. Rob, I hope you were able to make it!

A great time–well, at least was had by me–as I fulfilled a personal wish to quasi-perform with members of the Ululating Mummies.

A good and responsive crowd –who were interested in history-as-performance.

Thanks to all who came, saw and bought, and to the New York Deli and Chop Suey Tuey for making the event happen.

But my life-partner-in-art, Amie Oliver, put together the visuals, and her show of new paintings and drawings, “Walk The Walk” remains up at Plant Zero until Dec. 23.–HEK
