Now covering Scott’s Addition
We’ve decided to start covering the Scott’s Addition neighborhood here at WotBN. The duty falls to us because it’s geographically close, no one else is covering it, and we are probably awesomer than the other neighborhoods.
With all the news of development (movie theatre!) in the area hopefully we’ll have some interesting stuff to report. As always, if you have any tips send them in!

Land grab!
good move. I keep hearing about development in that area, condos and the like.
Scott’s Addition — part of the close-by suburbs of the heart of Richmond, the Fan District — is surely about to become a very happening part of town. Good move.
Scott’s Addition is percolating, and much is depending on what happens on N. Bouleveard — will Bow Tie Partners get that cinema up and running by this time next year? What will Doug Jemal do with the old FFV cookie factory? What will ultimately occur in the property immediately behind the Science Museum? There’ve been many ideas on that score.
Scott’s A. or the Addition now has condos, and apartments in old warehouses, with more people living there than it maybe did when the residential component maybe consisted of about 80 families, during the 1930s-1950s.
The Infuzion Cafe, a combination live music-lounge-dance place — to have a carved “ice bar” kept in sub-zero room off the main dance floor — is opening at Roseneath and Clay streets.
Sheppard Street runs direct from Carytown into the Addition — I see another potential run for some rickshaws or innovative shuttles. Like walking.
