New concession stand coming to Byrd Park

Richmond Mag has the scoop on a new concession stand being built at the lake at Byrd Park. Targeted completion date is July 4.

A six-sided, cupola-topped brick structure is arising there to house the pedal-boat concession and to sell refreshments.

    Hope all the food wrappers and beverage containers are biodegradable. No plastic bags. This should be law for whole city, but definitely for public park.

    So exciting! This has been on the park and community wish list for so long. , I am glad it is finally happening. It will be such a nice improvement to that area of the park. Yay!

    I saw the construction/demolition going on last week This is another of Richmond’s hidden gems, very under utilized and under appreciated. I can’t wait to see it.
