I had a dinner there with 6 of my friends and the service was great, we tried 3 different kinds of sake (they offer a ton of them) and tried the first 12 house sushi rolls on the menu and split them. The dinner came out to around 200 which we expected. It was the best sushi I had ever had, extremely fresh, and totally worth the price. Least fav roll spider, favs tex mex, tiger, and 3 others i couldnt remember names of....

Right on for the salad but I disagree on the hot tea service... visiting Hong Kong, you pay a flat fee for the tea service to the table depending on the number of people. It is a cheap charge and is virtually the same as free refills on a pot you would order for your table. I think Asian restaurants that sell loose tea at a charge per cup are simply attempting to recoup the cost of other expenses, I do not frequent Asian restaurants that charge for hot tea in this way. Take a look at Mekong, they do not even charge for hot tea...now that is customer service!!

I've been to Moshi Moshi and had a great experience, although I concur with the comment that the restaurant was empty.

Jim and Mike - when you go to a "fine dining" restaurant you shouldn't expect to receive your food quickly and get free refills on drinks. And, Japanese salad is iceberg lettuce and cabbage.

I heard about Moshi through a good friend of mine.
By far was one of the worst dining experience's I have ever had. We(3 of us) got there and sat down at 7:30p.m. took us 10 min for a waitress to get to our table, and there was only 1 other table in the restaurant. It took another 10 minutes to get our waters (all of us got water) and another 10 minutes to get our green tea. after a good 15 minutes she (waitress) decided to come get our dinner orders. We orded the shrimp tempura and california roll appetizers, those took 20 mintues to get to our table. we ordered our dinners with our apps, they came another 30 minutes after the apps. I have never waited so long for food in my life.

My girlfirend asked politly if the food was coming up soon, and the server decided to have an attitude about it. "When the food is ready I will bring it to you" in a sassy tone.

When we finished our meal it took 15-20 min for the server to ask us if we wanted to pay, which of course we did.

All in all we didnt leave there until 10:05.

The food is expensive, but I knew that before I walked in, so that wasnt the problem.

The service was terrible.
The food took and hour and a half to get to us, rediculous.

I will be surprised if this resturant stays open for much longer.

This restaurant was freaking terrible, do not go there. Cheap food lion bagged lettuce as the house salad. Food lion cold rolls as "bread" for your steak. I waited 1 hour 25 minutes for my entre and there was only one other table in the entire restaurant.

This restaurant is an expensive piece of crap, and not worth it. Tea even costs $2.00 a cup with no refills. The service was terrible, the food wasn't that good, and the wait was unbearable.

What a scam, do not go there!!!!

So i always pass by moshi moshi on my way home from grocery shopping and i decided to give it a try last week. my friends and i went in on a monday night, so we were seated immediately. the freshest sushi i've tasted in richmond! we had a couple of rolls. the best one out of the ones we tried, i thought, was the eye of tiger roll. we also shared a four seasons steak... absolutely amazing. definitely give this place a shot if you've never been by.

It is 100% open, and, as far as I know, is open every day of the week. It is owned and operated by Victor and his wife (yes, from SumoSan). It hasn't been open very long, but has already established quite a following. They have about 7 servers, a GM, and a couple bartenders. Each server runs the whole restaraunt at dinner time and there is a period of about 2.5 hours each night when the restaurant is packed and you'll have to wait for a seat. Other than this rush hour, you'll be able to sit without a problem.
