Memorial Day festivities at Byrd Park

Event Announcement:
The Carillon Advisory Committee and Richmond’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities will host a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 26, at 4:00 p.m. at the World War I Carillon building in Byrd Park.
The program will feature a concert on the World War I Memorial Carillon bells, presentation of colors by the Franklin Military Academy Color Guard, guest speakers, and vocal selections by the Trophies of Grace. Pastor Keith Bryan will offer the invocation and benediction.
The Memorial Day celebration will continue with a concert on the Dogwood Dell stage at 7:30 p.m., featuring The Virginians Barbershop
Chorus.

as we enjoy this observance of Memorial Day, let’s not forget to reflect on the sacrifices of the U.S. men and women who died while in the military service

Memorial Day is Monday the 25th, not 26th. This article says Monday is the 26th. Shame on those responsbile for getting such an important day wrong.
