The VMFA is doing some ruff making …

What’s a ruff? It’s a wheel-shaped collar that was popular in the late-16th and early-17th centuries. They were most often made of fine fabrics and sometimes edged with lace. They were worn primarily by powerful and wealthy men and women … the ruff-making activities that VMFA is presenting, starting May 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. in front of Quirk Gallery at 311 W. Broad Street during Richmond’s First Fridays Artwalk.
