Price is such a sticking point for me. However, a fantastic meal can be worth the price on a special occasion. The two times I’ve been to Zeus in the past two years were major bummers. Every item we ordered had the most pretentious description, presentation, and overall concept. On top of that, the food didn’t live up. I had creme brulee that could very well have been jello pudding intended for children. I’m just glad I didn’t run either of the Bush twins.
Might have $15 appies, but have you seen the size of those freaking things? The corn fritters alone are a meal at $9 or whatever they are. The entrees don’t go much above $30, and the quality is WELL above the mid-high tier for Richmond. Good atmosphere, great location, large serving sizes that maintain presentation, and not-unreasonable prices. I have yet to find the justification for the Style writer’s bad mood.
