John B. Cary needs an accessible play ground.

John B. Cary is one of the schools in the City where preschoolers with disabilities are sent yet the school’s playground is not ADA compliant. Join the PTA in raising money for a new accessible playground.
Details after the jump.
A committee of parents, of which I am a part, has joined together to raise funds for a fully accessible playground to be installedb at John B. Cary Elementary School in the city of Richmond, Virginia. This playground is essential to improve the quality of life and education for all children in our community.
We have applied to Hamburger Helper’s Hometown Helper program for $15,000 toward the anticipated $250,000 needed to build the playground. To support this project at no cost to yourself, please do the following:

I agree completely with this idea. My son attends a special needs preschool in Colonial Heights. Fortunately, that preschool has accessible play equipment.
Good luck!
