House of Delegates Candidate Forum scheduled

The Museum District Association is hosting a Candidate Forum for the 3 candidates on the ballot for the 68th District House Of Delegates Election.  The Forum will take place on Monday, September 24th from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Albert Hill Middle School (doors open at 6:30 p.m.).

The format sounds intriguing… Questions will be gathered from audience members as they arrive, and the moderator will ask the questions to the candidates. They will get through as many as time allows.

The candidates are as follows…

  • Katherine Waddell (Incumbent)
  • Manoli Loupassi (former president of Richmond City Council)
  • William Grogan (Museum District Resident)

You must be a Museum District Association Member to participate.  Luckily, you can join at the door (or here).

  1. Bummer that it costs 15$ to participate in democracy.

  2. Seriously. I read that sentence first as “Museum District resident” It’s ridiculous that you have to be a member to see a debate. I’d imagine most of the people who live in the neighborhood (esp renters like me-who no one cares about and have no rights) aren’t a member of the association.

  3. The MDA should reconsider its members-only requirement. I wonder if the candidates are aware of this? I think they might find it objectionable.
