I saw “I Love You, Man” with my girlfriend on Sunday. We had a good time. Nice to be at a place where everything is new and/or state of the art. I loathe the 30 minutes of commercials before the movies at other theatres, so I’m glad Movieland doesn’t force you to watch ads for Coke and cable shows. The staff was very nice, and it was good to be able to have a beer before the movie. I hope Bowtie is there for a long, long time.

Very convenient, went to see Slumdog Millionnaire… didn’t quite enjoy it, so we left early, but were complimented with passes to go see something else another time. But great theater. Glad it’s back in town.

Like the other commenter, I wish the arm rest went up, but otherwise, I’ll make that my main theater for first runs…

i can only say that the theatres at willow lawn got out of hand…it never seemed that there were staff to step in and manage those in the crowd that were mannerless…i have no problem asking someone to keep it down but who wants to go to a place once it gets a wrap as a regular hassle? …i think it is just preventative maintainance at Moveiland and I appreciate the effort

If someone came in 4 times during a movie I was watching to look around, it would be very distracting. What kinds of nefarious things are people going to be doing in the theaters?

Went yesterday and liked it. Quite nice to drive 2 minutes and be “at the movies”. I also felt like the staff was checking periodically to be sure there was nothing nefarious going on in the theaters. A guy came in 4x during the show I was at to look around. Very comforting.

Saw Watchmen @ the Midnight release.

No music/commercials before the show/previews alone is worth the extra $0.25. I can talk to the person next to me without being distracted. “The Twenty” or whatever Regal calls it is the some of the most annoying advertising period.

Dark theater with few runner lights was also nice.

Bad side was that the armrest doesn’t raise up.

Also we had some projector/sound issues and the movie started 30 minutes late, but everyone at my screening was given a free movie pass for the trouble, so I forgive them.

as fo the theatre, it was a very nice…well staffed, well lit, super easy ticket pay ahead from their website

favorite feature
Dyson air blade hand dryer in restroom, coolest invention ever, no ads except previews was pretty nice as well

least favorite feature
lights were left on in our theatre through the previews and through about 5 minutes of the film, hope that’s just a mistake and not a regular deal

hope patrons keep it nice for years to come

now, I must go drop a ten in the byrd box
