Geese management program begins in Byrd Park

Richmond’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities will officially begin its Geese Management Program in Byrd Park on Monday, March 10.
“We will be bringing in some highly-trained dogs to help us control the rapidly growing geese population in Byrd Park,” said Department Director J. R. Pope.M
Don’t worry though the Border Collies being used just chase the geese around and don’t kill them. The whole process is apparently highly humane.
