The “Last Friday Art Show” takes place every last Friday of the month at West Coast Kix in Carytown.

Know of something going on? ADD IT TO THE CALENDAR and we’ll help get the word out.

2012 RVA Environmental Film Festival

Sat Feb 4
The 2012 RVA Environmental Film Festival is bigger and better than ever! 2 days! 5 features! Many films and special appearances. Check http://rvaenvironmentalfilmfestival.com/ for movie details, up-to-date feature time and ticket information.

Carytown & Museum District: Butchers, Bakers & Beyond walking tout

Sat Feb 4 2:00 pm
We’ll mix it up for you along one of Richmond’s most eclectic thoroughfares. Visit intimate bistros, bustling lunch spots with Southern favorites, and specialty food retailers featured in national magazines while passing through quirky Carytown. You’ll learn secrets from butchers to bakers as well as get a peek at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ new sculpture garden. Come see our culinary trendsetters such as Secco, Belmont Butchery, Carytown Cupcakes, Cafe Ole, Belmont Food Shop, Zeus Gallery Cafe, Bonvenu, Museum District B & B, Amour Wine Bistro and others in Carytown and the Museum District. (SOLD OUT)

http://realrichmondva.com/?page_id=29

Flight Night @ Secco

Mon Feb 6 7:00 pm
Trying new things is like hitting the refresh button on our existence: it delivers us from complacency, engages our senses and forces us to question our tastes, values and, in turn, our very nature. Yet, more often than not, most of us will opt for the familiar over the unknown. Every Monday.

http://www.seccowinebar.com/2011/11/flight-night-every-monday-and-tuesday-swb/

RPS School Board

Mon Feb 6 4:30 pm
The RPS School Board meets at 4:30PM and 6PM on the first Monday of each month in Council Chamber Room on the 2nd floor of City Hall, located at 301 North Ninth Street; and at 6PM on the third Monday of each month at selected schools.

American Whiskey Dinner at Can Can

Thu Feb 9 6:30 pm

http://wotbn.net/american-whiskey-dinner-at-can-can/

Biograph Theatre’s 40th Anniversary Celebration

Sat Feb 11 7:00 pm
On its 40th anniversary, the Biograph Theatre, or perhaps something akin to its reanimated spirit, will serve up a pair of highly acclaimed films as a double feature to kick off a three or more part series titled “The Golden Age of Repertory Cinema.”

In other words, the James River Film Society will present “Breathless” (1960) — a 50th anniversary restoration 35mm print no less — and “Lonely Are the Brave” (1962) at the VCU Grace Street Theater on Saturday, February 11, 2012. The event will be a fundraiser for the volunteer run nonprofit James River Film Society and an opportunity to officially launch its campaign to establish a small storefront cinema in downtown Richmond.

This splendid on-the-lam twin bill is guaranteed to make viewers think no less than twice.

Grace Street’s Candlelight Home Tour

Sat Feb 11 4:00 pm
The West Grace Street Association is hosting its third annual Candlelight Home Tour on Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 4-8PM. This walking tour features a selection of six beautiful and architecturally significant homes along West Grace street.
