In news of the weird, VCU has pressed misdemeanor charges against its top basketball star Larry Sanders for damage to a dormroom door. Richmond Kickers season begins April 18

The Kickers will be back at U of R stadium on April 18 at 7pm versus Harrisburg. Tickets are $12. Last year, the Kickers tied for first during the regular season and lost in the playoffs. New York Deli will host a pre-game party from 5-6:30.

Benedictine not moving to Goochland

The RTD reports that Benedictine is not moving to Goochland County. The school had been exploring all options as the monastery in charge of the school moved to Goochland. All of the athletic fields, except for basketball, are located in Goochland as well.

Benedictine wins state championship

The Benedictine men’s basketball team won the Virginia Independent Schools Div I championship for the second straight year. The Cadets crushed Bishop O’Connell 67-46.
