  1. Looks like Braves will pay Gwinnett County $250K per year and have a $38MM stadium built for them. The domain name gwinnettbraves.com was purchased on Thursday.

  3. I say we use this as an opportunity. Forget baseball though. Get Richmond to build a stadium there and get VCU to provide the football team. Start something that can’t be moved to another city. Start something that would draw way more fans than the Braves games ever could.

  4. YES TOTALLY. I’ve been saying for years VCU should buy UR’s stadium and start a football team. Aren’t they one of the largest public schools in the country without a football team?

    I’d be a season ticket holder.

  5. Word on the street is that the Braves offered Richmond $750K per year. Our public officials can’t get anything done.
