Ellwoods Coffee now open?!?!

Posted on | February 9, 2009 | 3 Comments

Ellwood Thompson’s blog states that Ellwood’s Coffee, their organic, fair trade coffee shop, is now open. Soft open, that is, as they work out the kinks.

The formal opening is slated for Wednesday.

They also have free wifi.

They’ve been open since at least Friday (2/6), because I drove by during lunch…A group of us went inside on Saturday. The place has a nice atmosphere, with about 15 foot ceilings, couches, a wall full of books on the back wall, and its also a lot roomier than I imagined.. They use a lot of earthy tones w/ splashes of color on the interior (I liked!). I did not order anything, but my friend, who drinks like 3+ cups of coffee a day, was not impressed with what he ordered (regular coffee). Maybe it just wasn’t fresh? We will definitely be going back!

Been there twice already. Great atmosphere, great coffee, local business, close to home – I may already be addicted.
