Ellwood’s Coffee Gets Local
Posted on | June 17, 2009 | 4 Comments
Recently, Ellwood’s Coffee has stepped up it’s game by brewing local. In the past, Ellwoods Coffee had been exclusive to a company based in Durham, NC. But now, when they say “Drink Local”, they mean it. Blanchard’s is just 3.6 miles across the river. According to Ellwood’s:
They bring in the best Certified Organic and Fair Trade beans and then roast them in-house, giving you the freshest tasting cup of coffee in Richmond.

That’s what we drink at the PharrOut and RVANews office! It’s really good, and being a coffee snob I would totally recommend them!

Hooray! I am moving from WotB to a Hills & Heights neighborhood, and while running pre-move-in errand I thought I would get coffee on my new side of the river. I like Crossroads but their parking lot was so full I couldn’t figure out where to stop, so I went to Blanchard’s and it was great. Great coffee, a delicious muffin baked in a popover pan, and friendly employees. And lots of parking. Good choice, Ellwood’s.
