1. By responding to the survey you are providing community feedback on perceived crime issues in the community so that the sector 311 workshop coming up (Sept 22, call precinct at 646-1412 and RSVP by Monday the 10th, 5 PM) is pertinent to neighborhood concerns.

   For those of you that may not have participated last year, a major gripe about the Workshop process was that the PD assigned topics to the work groups (panhandling, speeding, car theft, etc.) based on their own observations and without neighborhood input. Though the assigned concerns were certainly validm many participants found that their group’s assigned topic did not really reflect the perceived concerns of the neighborhoods.

   Even if you cannot come to the Sector meeting, and you should consider it in my opinion, you would be adding value to the process by returning the survey with some meaningful input.
