Deer gallops through Carytown
The crack blog staff over at 10 S. Boulevard were on hand as a young deer ran through Carytown on Sunday. No word on the condition of the deer.
UPDATE:
The deer was hit by a car and had to be euthanized, although the folks at nearby Veterinary Emergency Clinic did their best.
Also, another deer was hit and killed at the corner of Sheppard and Monument.

I wonder at the fate of the third deer?
We live on Boulevard south of Cary and around 5 PM Sunday evening, my husband saw three deer walk briskly past, heading north on the west side of the Boulevard, following right along the sidewalk, single file.
Earlier in the week, the lead deer apparently had opened a fortune cookie from the trash near the tennis courts at Byrd park which read “Following a straight and clear path does not ensure good outcome”.
Spooky!
WTF that is ridiculous.
SOUNDS LIKE IT IS HUNTING SEASON.
Or something?
Deer are pretty sturdy, im surprised they were killed by cars doing 35mph at the most. I am from MN and ive hit a deer going 60 and they got up and walked away.
Must be car poachers!
Obvu the deer just wanted some ice cream.
