Crime Alert - secure your home windows and doors

A tipster on the first block of North Crenshaw Avenue let us know that there was an attempted break in at her residence…

Around 12:45am this morning someone tried to break into my home. Luckily I was awake downstairs and heard someone pushing the screen up outside one of my windows.

Luckily, the person didn’t make inside. However, it’s a good reminder to keep your doors and windows secured, and make sure there’s a working motion light outside.

There have also been several vehicle break-ins recently (one on Grace and one on Tilden in the past week), so remember to remove all valuables from your car.
