Carytown vet admits oversized patient

Veterinarian Cheryl Antonucci of Veterinary Emergency Center in Carytown took part in a major dental procedure at the Richmond Metro Zoo.
350-pound lion Meru broke her tooth and needed a root canal. Three local doctors including Antonucci, the zoo’s regular veterinarian, took on the case.
Meru now has some bling, sporting a silver filling.
Veterinary Emergency Center is located at 3312 West Cary Street.
