Carytown power pole goes up in flames

See that big yellow dot on the Dominion Power outage map? That’s Carytown. From RTD…
A flaming power pole in Carytown tonight left about 2,200 customers without electricity… The pole is at Cary Street and Beaumont Avenue, just east of Cary Court Shopping Center. … expected repairs to be made and power restored to the last 700 customers by tomorrow morning.

…Ours went down for about 15 minutes- thankfully that was all. I was thinking we were gonna have a rough night there for a sec.

ours was only out for a few minutes too… not horrible, but long enough to ruin the climax of LA Confidential… it reset the cable box and it was too late to spend 45 min finding where i had left off

I’m amazed! Ours didn’t go out at all — and it often does in a heavy thunderboomer storm. These Richmond grids, very mysterious.
