I thnk there is a lot of potential for commercial solar in Carytown.

How about green roofs?

If you want to get rid of bad smells then green it up

i understand the ornamental pear trees that were there are brittle as they age and that they do not have a prefered habit for an urban streetscape installation (shallow root structurem etc)...BUT...there has to be something better than the corndog trees (can't remember their real name) that are there now...It was such an expensive project, i do not see anyone offering to replace them any time soon, but Lauren, I absolutely agree the current plantings are doing nothing to improve the streetscape or provide shade

How about some decent looking trees? Carytown used to be pretty. Ever since they cut down the old trees it looks like one big strip mall.

No more Dream Blades!?!? Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! I can't believe it. I worked at Coppola's when they opened up, and we were all amazed that it stayed open as long as it did. I only saw one person buy anything from there, but he looked so unbelievably proud to be carrying a rapier over his shoulder on a busy Saturday afternoon, that it seemed to make the store worth it. Plus it provided an almost enless supply of Druid and Wizard jokes at the Deli.

I am looking forward to folks using new bike racks and NOT the sad little trees...those "Corn Dog" trees are unsightly to begin with, but they look even worse with lower branches missing, skinned off bark, and cockeyed arrangement that many have from various abuses...please take some care folks

The demise of the moronic shop called "Dream Blades" that sold swords and throwing stars on Colonial Avenue is the best thing that has happened to Carytown lately. Talk about sprucing up!

How many bike racks with flair? Just 15? Because if Carytown wants to do the minimum, well, okay. But some streets like to express themselves, and we encourage that.
