Carytown 10K riding on the coattails of the Riverrock?

The Carytown 10K is set for Sunday, May 17th along the normal route. I’m a little bummed I won’t be running it again this year.

I was researching the Carytown 10K date months ago, and the Richmond Road Runners had a an early autumn time listed. I was quite surprised. But then the date of May 17th was announced last month (as far as I know), which is partly to blame for me not participating.

Anyway, you can read a press release spinning the Carytown 10K as part of Sports Backers Riverrock event, which I don’t think is official, but a great idea. With athletes in town, or at least athletics on the brain, it’s a good fit.
