That's correct, Jonathan. The meetup group has done a number of investigations but they are not the same group that did the Byrd. More info is available at http://www.richmondghosts.com/ !

This reply is late, but whoever is listed in the "Meetups" group post did not participate in the Byrd Theater investigation.

Thought it was neat what Ghostic did when they checked out the Byrd Saturday night for Bob Coulter's ghost. Enjoyed reading the article about it as well. I'm looking forward to going to The Byrd on New Years for the big celebration at the Byrd and it will be neat to see Todd Shall-Vess hoist his New Year's Eve ball off New York Deli.

"It’s kind of weird that the Byrd Theatre would allow Ghost Hunters to roam the theatre all night. Is that really a good use of the theatre? Odd."

The theater shuts down at Midnight, and except for the cleaning staff, is empty all night long. So whether or not people are there makes no difference, it doesn't impact the operation of the theater in any way.

Who's next, the Ghostbusters? Better bring the Proton Pack to nab Bob the Ghost and his friend Slimer.

"I’m not sure who footed the bill for Ghostec, but I sure hope it wasn’t the Byrd Theatre Foundation."

Why don't you ask them?

That's the kind of stuff that would add worth to a blog post.

They seem like really nice folks from their investigation notes. I'd be hanging around one of the investigations if they ever come back to town.

I like the haunted house on their website. :-)

Wonder if I spend the night in the Byrd and rattle some chains from the lofts if that would qualify me as a ghost in there!
