Benedictine looking to defend RTD High School Basketball tournament next weekend

The Richmond Times-Dispatch high school basketball invitational tournament will take place at the Siegel Center at VCU next weekend. #1 Benedictine is looking to defend it’s title from last year’s tourney.

The tournament begins on Thursday the 20th, as Benedictine plays Freeman @ 8pm. The tournament will continue through Saturday with games each day. Highland Springs, #5 in the RTD poll, is also in the tournament and lost a close game to Benedictine earlier in the season 59-63. They could face off again in the championship game.

Tickets are $6 for the opening rounds on Thursday and Friday and $8 for the final round on Saturday. One ticket gets you in for all the games that day featuring some of the best high school basketball in the region.
