Bear in the area. Oh my

The dudes at 10 S. Boulevard were the first to put out the alert that a bear was spotted on VCU’s campus. From NBC12

Officials say the animal was seen around 11 p.m. yesterday near Monroe Park and that it’s not unusual to see the animals this time of year, even in cities.

This is the time that bears come out of hibernation and start to head toward food and water sources.

RTD reports that there was also a sighting last night near the Jefferson.

  1. Was at bar that will remain nameless, when the place emptied to see a bear run down Laurel towards Monroe Park. ‘Twas no dog RTD.
