I am glad to hear the property owner was held to process like the rest of us instead of just blustering his way through with this lot. Glad to see DCD and community continuing to work together. Hope something constructive can come of this lot. A pocket park would be great.

The blacktop was defintely removed – I have photos to prove it!

I checked out the lot today, and I couldn’t tell if the blacktop was fully removed or if gravel was just dumped on top.

I kicked aside as much dirt and gravel aside as I could, but I couldn’t reach blacktop.

I’m not sure how this really helps unless there are future plans of digging up the black top and replanting grass there.

I mean I’m happy he won’t be able to use it as a parking lot, but…

Victory is so sweet.

I have to wonder what the plans are for the lot at this point. Is it covered in dirt/gravel because Jefferson plans on using it as a parking lot anyway? That would suck.

Bring back the lawn!
