Universal moving from area to Stony Point
Universal Tobacco announced it’s moving from its current headquarters at the corner of Broad and Hamilton to Stony Point. They plan on making the conversion in the Spring of 2009.

Fire @ 3600 Centre
The 3600 Centre building was evacuated last night as an escalator motor caught fire, closing Broad Street. Smoke filled several floors, but damage is expected to be minimal. via RTD

Schwarzschild doubles up in Carytown

Benedictine not moving to Goochland
The RTD reports that Benedictine is not moving to Goochland County. The school had been exploring all options as the monastery in charge of the school moved to Goochland. All of the athletic fields, except for basketball, are located in Goochland as well.
